I’m a passionate food lover and experienced recipe creator. With years of hands-on cooking across various cultures and kitchens, I turned my love for delicious, wholesome meals into a full-time blogging journey. I’m here to inspire your everyday cooking with easy, healthy, and flavorful recipes anyone can master.
I’ve worked in multiple countries, explored countless flavors, and learned from amazing home cooks and chefs. Outside the kitchen, I enjoy photography, weekend getaways by the lake, and of course… good dark chocolate. This blog is where my creativity, experience, and love for food come together — and I’m thrilled to share it with you.

Travel
From living in the Philippines, to wandering through Europe, to chasing the best tacos in Austin—I’m always up for an adventure. Travel has filled my heart and expanded my world, and I’ve documented many of those stories right here.
Grief & Loss
On January 1st, 2017, our baby boy Afton passed away the day after he was born. Writing about that experience has been healing, and the connections I’ve made with readers through his story have meant everything. You can read more about our journey with grief here.
Motherhood
In September 2018, we welcomed our daughter, Solvi Afton. Becoming a mom has been the most transformative chapter of my life, and I’ve shared many of my thoughts, joys, and challenges around motherhood here.
Home Life
We bought our home back in 2014, and since then, it’s been a labor of love. From cozy redecorating touches to a complete kitchen renovation and even turning the attic into a dreamy master suite—our home is our canvas. You can take a look at our home projects here.
Sage
